At the end of July, a crew of Troop 75 Scouts and leaders drove north to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario for a week of lake-to-lake canoe tripping: paddling by day, carrying canoes and packs over portages, and camping at backcountry sites each night.
Treks like this are the payoff for years of skill-building on our Adirondack trips, and they're planned with the Scouts, from route to menu.
