Support Troop 75

Every campout, canoe and week of summer camp is made possible by our community. Here's how you can help Troop 75 Scouts get outside.

Volunteer

Troop 75 runs entirely on volunteers: 67 registered adults and counting. You don't need a Scouting background, and you don't need to have a Scout in the troop to help. There's a role for every schedule:

  • Merit badge counselor: share what you know with one Scout or a whole class at our January Merit Badge College.
  • Drivers and outing help: get trained and join a campout, hike or service day.
  • Committee member: help with membership, advancement, equipment, fundraising or communications.
  • Sportsmart: dozens of adults help Scouts run the sale each November.

All training is provided, including Scouting America's Safeguarding Youth course. Tell us how you'd like to help.

A note on donations

Troop 75 is a unit of Scouting America, chartered by Delmar Reformed Church, and isn't a separate charity, so we don't take general online donations. The best ways to support the troop financially are Sportsmart, our community fundraisers, and gifts of useful gear. If you'd like to make a larger gift, contact us and we'll find the right way.

Ways to help

  • Shop or sell at Sportsmart

Our used ski and sporting goods sale, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, is the troop's biggest fundraiser.

  • Share your skills

Become a merit badge counselor in your profession or hobby (welding, law, photography, first aid and dozens more).

  • Donate gear

Good camping gear, canoes, kayaks or trailers can serve Scouts for years. Ask before dropping off, so we can use it well.

  • Buy popcorn from a Scout

Each fall our Scouts sell popcorn. 100% of the troop's share of every sale goes into the selling Scout's own account for campouts and camp.

  • Buy a BBQ dinner

Our winter Brooks BBQ chicken dinner with Delmar Reformed Church supports both the troop and the church.

  • Fill a Scouting for Food bag

Each November, set out the bag our Scouts leave on your doorstep. Everything goes to the Regional Food Bank.

  • Support Scouting locally

Twin Rivers Council runs the camps and training our Scouts rely on, and welcomes donations through its Friends of Scouting campaign.
